By design the Rehadapter is future-proof when it comes to extendability. All access methods you might want to use in future are covered. It‘s the first case on the market with this broad connectivity.

And what if you need to replace your iPad? We will easily and quickly be able to accomodate for the next generations of iPads or other selected tablets.

The Rehadapter transforms your iPad into a dedicated AAC device by combining all key features in one single housing!

“We are proud that the Rehadapter turns an ordinary iPad into a full-fledged AAC tool for helping people with special needs – finally hassle-free and more flexible then ever while being economical!” – Uli Ehlert, CEO Rehadapt

AAC solutions only work well when the client’s access needs are perfectly matched. Never before has an adapted iPad offered so many options.

The Rehadapter features an innovative keyguard system unmatched in the market: the keyguards can be clicked in place without the need of any additional holder, velcro or moving piece.

This unique system can be set to three different levels of pressure to better fit the client’s needs: easy toolless, semi-permanent, or permanent (requiring tools for removal).

The keyguards are made from 5 mm thick plexiglass and can be supplied off-the-shelf or customized. They are milled instead of lasered to make sure the edges are smooth and comfortable for the user.

The Rehadapter features integrated 3.5 mm jacks to connect up to two switches for screen scanning. No need for additional, expensive and power consuming Bluetooth switches that might leave you with an unreliable connection.

The Rehadapter features two attachment points for additional access equipment such as eye trackers or head mice devices. The attachment points – located at the top and bottom of the device – offer unlimited flexibility for attaching additional equipment.

The Rehadapter is a protective case designed for extensive daily usage. It has a sturdy design and is made of reinforced plastic, delivering ample protection. The iPad is surrounded by rubber bumpers that absorb impacts from all sides.

The magnetic charging cable ensures not only self-alignment when connecting, but also makes sure the Rehadapter cannot be pulled or dragged by its cable.

All in all it’s a trusty companion which meets all the requirements for a medical product and is scratch, shock and drop resistant.

High-quality sound is achieved by one large integrated speaker located on the back of the unit. With its voice-optimized loud and clear sound the Rehadapter is classroom-ready.

The rubberized volume buttons are always accessible and the angle of the speaker has been optimized for maximum performance in all positions: whether the Rehadapter is flat on a table, upright, or held by a Rehadapt mounting system.

The battery lasts twice as long as the iPad. This means you can use it without having to worry about it throughout the day.

The Rehadapter includes an integrated kickstand offering continuous adjustment to an inclination angle of up to 45°. When lying flat on the table the Rehadapter’s wedge shape allows for an ergonomic 10° angle access. The kickstand and all contact points are rubberized. The kickstand is made of aircraft-grade aluminum and can be removed if not needed.

Rehadapt’s universal device socket (UDS) is an established standard in the AAC field and the Rehadapter naturally includes an adapter plate. This makes it immediately ready to be connected with the most comprehensive mounting ecosystem on the market.

The Rehadapter features a sophisticated shoulder strap system that will never become twisted. The Rehadapter can also lie flat on a surface without wobbling even when the strap is attached.

The handle is wide and rubberized for comfortable grip. That makes it easy to carry the Rehadapter around or to stow it into a bag.

The case is closed with mechanical fasteners and not simply clicked-in. This provides maximum safety.

Due to the vast amount of AAC apps on the market keyguards can be customized for any particular need. Over time keyguards for all standard apps will be supplied off-the-shelf.

The Rehadapter is future-proof for any iPad upcoming to the market. The only part which has to be newly engineered is the according front frame. So for any new iPad there will be a fitting Rehadapter in no time.

The Rehadapter features custom volume buttons separated from the iPad which are easily accessible no matter how the case is positioned

The iPad is surrounded by rubber bumpers. In addition to the reinforced plastic enclosure this contributes to a carefree protection.

The Rehadapter supports the most recent iPad 10.2”, Air, Pro 11” and all upcoming iPads within the same size category and connects hassle-free through the built-in Bluetooth module.
